Michael Kaliner

Michael Kaliner, Attorney at Law, represents consumer and business clients in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcy proceedings throughout Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kaliner is  a partner with the law firm of Adelstein & Kaliner LLC.  He concentrates his practice in the area of Bankuptcy Law in the representation of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 Debtors, Institutional and private creditors and Creditors Committees, as well as represent Chapter 7 and 11 Trustees.  He is on the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  He is an approved Mediator with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a member of he Eastern District Bankruptcy Conference.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio Northern University School of Law where he served as Associate Editor for the Law Review.

Mr. Kaliner served as Operating Trustee for 14 Seafood Shanty Restaurants in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area, the Seahorse Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Dino & Luigi's Restaurant in Royersford, PA and the Barclay Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, in which case the entities were sold.

He has served as Chapter 11 Disbursing Agent and Examiner in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, before the court he regularly practices.  He has represented clients before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Superior and Commonwealth Courts and Courts of Common Pleas.

Mr. Kaliner regularly lectures on Bankruptcy for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, local Bar Associations, Realtor and other groups.
